The Kogi State Accountant General, Hon. Jibrin Momoh has called on Eyire clan in Ebira land to vote massively for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
Hon. Jibrin Momoh who is of the clan, gave this charge today during the Eyire Day event held at Lenon memorial College, Ageva.
Eyire Day is an annual event where the people gather to celebrate, discuss issues and pray for the unity and prosperity for the clan and Ebira land in general.
The Accountant General in his speech appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for ensuring security and overall development across the state. He said the establishment of the Confluence University of Science and Technology, the Reference Hospital and other road projects across Kogi Central Senatorial District has placed the state on a solid pedestals for greatness, hence the need to support the APC candidate, Usman Ododo for consolidation.
Hon Jibrin emphasized that Ododo is an experienced leader who has learnt the through the ropes, the rudiments of governing a complex state like Kogi, adding that his wealth of experience, strong character and respect for all irrespective of religion or ethnicity makes him better than other candidates.
While commending the Eyire Peoples Association for their support for the New Direction government over years, the Accountant General urged them to mobilize maximum votes for the APC candidate, assuring that the clan and indeed the entire state will continue to witness unity and development under the Ododo administration.
The event witnessed large attendance of Eyire clan descendants, along with friends and well wishers including governor Yahaya Bello who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku
