Omokhodion Enters Edo 2024 Guber Race With ‘SMILES’ Agenda


 

 

A former Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bright Ehi Omokhodion has declared his intentions to contest the Edo State 2024 governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

 

Omokhodion who is also a former Commissioner for Finance in the state, in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City said he has over the years acquired the necessary exposure, requisite educational qualifications, tools and tutelage required to reposition Edo State with a programme of action he designed, called SMILES.

In his SMILES vision, he said S stands for Socio-Economic Development of Edo State, M represents Manpower and Skills Development, I stands for Infrastructural Growth and Industrial Hub; L stands for Leadership by Objective and Example, E represents Egalitarianism, Equality, Equity, Government Service Reforms and the S represents Security of Lives and Property, Law and Order.

Omokhodion while appealing for support to enable him win the nomination of his party, the APC and the governorship election, assured Edo people that he will be a Governor of the high and low, rich and poor, adding that the reach of his government will extend to the extant communities in the state with a shared responsibility to recreate Edo State.
