First 100 Days In Office: NAKOSS Holds Press Conference, Scores Gov. Ododo 100%

 

… As DG Protocol Government House Assures Youth and Students will enjoy a pride of place.

The National Association of Kogi State Students NAKOSS has scored Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo 100% in his 100 days in office.

This is as the Director General, Protocol, Government House, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim described the administration of Gov Ododo as one that has made Youth and Students enjoy a pride of place.

Similarly, Adebanji Austin Ayelabowo, Chairman, NAKOSS Stakeholders, congratulated Gov. Ododo for having a human face administration, said he has done excellently well in his first 100 days in office.

The Students and other stakeholders made the disclosure at a Press Conference addressed to mark the first 100 days of the administration of Gov. Ododo by it National President, Comr. Jeremiah Elukpo, held at the NAKOSS House, praised the present administration for making the welfare of Youths and Students his priority.

According to Comr. Elukpo, “The Governor has truly proven that students and Youths are his Constituency. The Governor has matched words with action since his assumption of office in his welfare packages for students and Youths”.

” His resuscitation of the bursary scheme for students will go a long way for the students in view of the current economic hardship”.

“Students and Youths subvention have been paid in arrears. He has made students and Youths inclusion a priority of his administration”.

” In the areas of Infrastructure, the State Governor has approved the construction of a 350 bed hostel in CUSTECH. We have seen several
development on campuses across the State”.

” We must commend the administration commitment to security by boosting the morale of security agencies. Recently, we saw the distribution of over 500 vehicles to security agencies”.

“The administration open door policy remains commendable. It is important to place on record also that most appointees of the Governor are receptive to NAKOSS”.

The NAKOSS National President called on students to pray for Gov. Ododo, adding that the Governor is poised to do more for the students and Youths in the coming days.

Like Oliver Twist, the NAKOSS Chairman appealed to the Governor to continue to do more for the students and Youths, pointing out that he has the full support and backing of the youth and Students demography in the State.

Speaking further , the DG Protocol described Gov. Ododo as a leader who does not make empty promises, adding that he governs with the fear of God”, pointing out that his fear of God in governance is legendary.

Alhaji Suleiman commended the Governor for the NHIS for workers, deliberate efforts to reposition the Agriculture, boosting the security sector with the metropolitan response squad, commended the Governor for the distribution of enough vehicles and motorcycles as well as release of subvention to students and Youths Association.

He concluded by saying, “God has given Kogi a man set for all round development”.

Comr. Ayelabowo praised the administration for boosting security architecture of the state, described as unprecedented the bursary scheme for students, said it would go a long way in cushioning the hardship faced students and parents.

The efforts of the Governor in terms of salaries, he added has improved the economy of the State, commended the resuscitation of the Ejiba rice mill through a PPP arrangement.

He assured that Governor of the support of the youths and students all through the remaining term of his administration.

The Kogi State Commissioner For Youth and Sports, who was represented at the briefing thanked the youth for their support thus far, said the Doors of the Governor remains open at all time.

The Commissioner described Gov. Ododo as a Governor for the youth, said his passion for the Youth and Students remains unquantified and unparalleled.
