Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Omala Local Government, Hon. (Alh) Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh has encouraged all councillorship candidates from across the eleven wards of the area to reach out to people in their wards and carry out extensive sensitisation and canvass for votes, using APC machineries and manifestoes, centered on good governance for the people.
Alhaji Aboh gave the charge during presentation of APC flags to councillorship candidates from Kogi East by the party’s Eastern of Zonal Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Attah at the party’s zonal office in Anyigba.
He said, “APC led administration has performed creditably well in good governance, and has won several elections. This should not be different. Let us leverage on these great feats to bring about victory for our party, to enable us do more for our people”.
“This onerous opportunity to fly our party’s flag in our respective ward is golden, and should be given all the seriousness and attention it deserves. And to all those who feel agrieeved or disenchanted, the time to close ranks and achieve Omala of our dream is now. To the candidates, ensure you don’t make other aspirants feel less important or less qualified. Carry everybody along”, he stressed as he congratulated them.
The former Administrator thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for giving youths and women the opportunity to be heard in the state, describing him as an ambassador/advocate of youthful leadership.
In his address, the Kogi East APC Zonal Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Attah urged the councillorship candidates to spread their reach and make the people of the grassroot feel their presence and eventually benefit dividends of democracy upon assumption of office after their victory at the poll by GOD’S grace.
The council poll is scheduled to hold on the 12th day of December 2020 across 21 local governments, 239 council wards of Kogi State. Hon. (Alh) Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh of APC and Hon. Mrs Ele-Ojo Faruna remain candidates to beat in forthcoming council poll based on the former’s antecedents, experience, dexterity and determination to serve.
Candidates of APC from across the eleven wards of Omala Local Government are men and women of impeccable characters, who emerged from other very qualified aspirants.
The occasion was crowned with a motorcade around Abejukolo, the headquarters of Omala Local Government and other wards, to create awareness and mark commencement of campaigns activities.
