Permit me to use this medium to express my utmost gratitude to God Almighty for His blessings, abiding love, mercy and grace to not only me, but also to the good people of Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency, on the second year anniversary of the 9th Assembly.
Indeed, as I thank you for investing your electoral franchise in me at the 2019 National Assembly elections; as your servant in the House of Representatives, I sincerely use the occasion of the Mid-term anniversary of the 9th Assembly to express my profound appreciation to Elders, Leaders, traditional and spiritual leaders, men, women, youths, and the entire constituents for all your support, prayers, counsel and understanding. No doubt, your outpouring of love, passion and commitment to my unflinching desire and unapologetic wishes for the general well being and development of our dear federal constituency has impacted positively and helped greatly in the modest achievements recorded thus far.
Though Nigeria is experiencing and passing through very difficult times, largely due to multifarious factors which includes; natural occurrences, policy somersaults, rudderless leadership, lack of properly articulated and strategically pursued visions and programmes, as your humble representative in the National Assembly, I have by God’s grace been able to record some achievements, and cover reasonable mileage in terms of deliverables. To the glory of His mighty name, your persistent prayers, and the support of progressive like-minded people from and outside our federal constituency, between June 2019 and June 2021, through different programmes and initiatives in water, health, power, education, empowerment and others, one has been able to touch and impact constituents.
These projects, programmes, and initiatives includes (but not limited to) the following:-
*Extra Mural Classes and Scholarships (Back to School) to Senior Secondary Students across the Constituency
*Sponsoring and giving of award prizes to outstanding schools and students in the yearly Quiz Competition across the Constituency
* Donation of wrappers, food, cash to about 1,500 Widows yearly
*Provision of Farm Implements and Pesticides to Farmers in the Constituency
*Fisheries and Aquaculture Training for Constituents
*Medical Outreach for over 1,000 people in the Constituency
*Provision of Solar Powered Street Lightning in Ekirin Adde
*Facilitated the release and distribution of relief materials to some constituents and communities
*Provision of different capacities of Transformers to Iyara, Otu-Egunbe, Surulere-Kabba
*Construction of Motorised Borehole in Egbeda Egga, Odolu, FGGC, Kabba, Iyara, Edumo-Bunu
*Renovation of Classrooms in Agbede-Apa
*Construction of a Block of Three Classrooms in Baptist UBE, Kabba
* Painting of NURTW office in Ayetoro-Gbede
*Financial support to some indigent students in secondary and post-secondary institutions
*Facilitated employment for few constituents in some institutions
* Facilitated the approval of Federal Government Loans schemes of between N200,000 and N5m to about 350 people from the Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu LGAs.
* More people, whose application have been approved, are awaiting Disbursement/Release of funds to their respective bank accounts.
* Provision and distribution of Covid-19 palliatives to people in the Constituency (food, face masks, hand sanitizer and cash).
As always, I rededicate myself to the economic growth, political advancement, institutional and infrastructural development of our federal constituency. Also, as I look forward to your continued collaboration, support, and prayers, I promise to, at all times and in every situation, offer responsible, responsive and resourceful representation to the good people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
