The visit was aimed at formally acknowledging the agency’s support in executing two critical projects—a motorized borehole and a primary healthcare clinic—under the Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Programme.

“Through His Excellency’s administration, we now have access to better healthcare services and improved water supply,” Mr. Etswayo remarked.
He emphasized that these projects had significantly enhanced the quality of life in the community.

The community also extended commendations to the General Manager of KGCSDA, Chief Momoh Dauda, and his management team for their dedication and commitment, which ensured the successful completion of the projects.

Mr. Etswayo pledged the community’s commitment to securing and sustaining the facilities for long-term benefits.

In response, Chief Momoh Dauda expressed his commitment to Kpata community, acknowledging their proactive approach and the high standards maintained in the executed projects. He reassured the community of continued interventions from the agency, emphasizing that Governor Ododo remains committed to the development of Bassa Local Government Area.

“The governor’s administration prioritizes grassroots development, and we are here to support communities like Kpata in achieving sustainable growth. However, I urge you all to maintain peace, as development thrives in a secure environment,” Chief Momoh stated.

Also speaking at the event, the Shaba of Bassa-Nge Land, Alhaji Yahaya Larema, represented by Chief Abdulaziz Eri, described the agency’s interventions as a major milestone in the history of Kpata. He appreciated the government’s efforts in bringing meaningful development to the community and called for further interventions in other critical areas.

The NG-CARES Programme, under which these projects were executed, continues to drive rural development, fostering resilience and economic growth in communities across Kogi State.

With the successful completion of these projects, Kpata community stands as a testament to the power of government-community collaboration in achieving sustainable development.
