The Elegbe of Egbe and Chairman, Yagba West Traditional Council Oba Ayodele Irukere and other traditional rulers have blessed the Senatorial aspiration of Hon. Sunday Karimi, Frontline APC Aspirant.
The Royal fathers gave there’s blessings when Hon. Sunday Karimi visited the royal father to inform him of his aspiration and to seek his blessings ahead the APC forthcoming primaries.
Speaking on behalf of the Royal father’s, the Elegbe said: ” You are our son and the son of the land that we’re proud having. We know your capacity and your commitment to the development of the community.
” Personally, you have single handedly sponsored so many programmes here in Egbe far more than anyone.
” I want to tell you this, you have the knife and the yam of Egbe just like always and our prayers for you is that you will always have it and use it judiciously.
” We’re with you and our support is unflinching support. That Senate, is ours and you will deliver it for us because this is our collective project.
” To my fellow Oba’s, an Egbe man is going to Senate and it is our collective responsibility to see that he delivery it with our prayers”.
In his remarks, Hon. Sunday Karimi said: ” My royal fathers, it will be very sad for you to hear outside from another person that your son is contesting election. I don’t belong to any group that doesn’t respect the traditional institutions.
” I have been coming to you for your Prayers and your Prayers have always been answered. Like you know, I have a very personal interest in the development of communities in Yagba West.
” It is another electioneering period and there is no time that I contested that you never supported me, I have once again come for come for your blessings before before I begin my movement about. Permit me to say I have gotten the support of my party and every stakeholders involve.
I have the support of our leader the executive governor of Kogi State and my friends, colleagues and associates across Nigeria and outside.
Please, like always, I need your support more than you have ever done in my ambition to becoming the Senator of kogi West come 2023.
