Implement arrears of promotions, Kogi NLC tells Bello

Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress, Com Onu Edoka has called on Kogi State Government to implement arrears of promotions being held by civil servants.
Represented by his Vice, Comr. Meliga Obaka during the inauguration of the newly elected executive members of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, Kogi State chapter, he said no worker in the state has benefitted from promotion implementation since year 2010 till date.
He lamented that salaries of workers remained same since 2010 ,just as there are no annual increment, leave bonuses and other benefits.
While stating that the above situation with the inflation in the state have made things unbearable for workers, he lauded the state government over non interference in union elections in the state including that of the NLC.
He however reiterated the urgent need for the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in the state to look into the welfare of state workers .
