AJAOKUTA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF 2020 ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR*


 

As the year draws to an end it is time to take a stock and project into the future. Year 2020 has been a remarkable, interesting year and we are already looking forward to 2021 as a year of recovery and consolidation.

In other to recover, rehabilitate and rebuild the system after the devastating global pandemic covid-19 that threatens the world the need to fine-tune plans and strategize to recover on the lost for the year becomes Paramount concern.

The Member who see the plight of his constituents to be his top most priority deem it necessary to touch the lives of of his people in many ways.

This year 2020 he was able to achieve the following…..

A.. EDUCATION
The Member embarked on the payment of WAEC/JAMB fees of indigenous students of SS3 across the Constituency. Between January and February.

The Member also embarked on skills aquisition training on computer for youths across the Constituency where a computer device and printer was issued to each beneficiary with a start up capital to be self reliance this was carried out between February and March, 2020.

As a way of making women and youths across his Constituency to be self reliance he also embarked on skills aquisition training for the making of soap, detergent, Dettol ,Air freshener, perfume etc and each undergone security awareness training after which each of them received a start up capital. This was also carried out at September this year 2020.

B.. HUMANITARIAN

During the lockdown as a result of the global pandemic covid-19 threatening the world he distributed food items as palliatives in two phases to his constituents to cushioned the effect of the covid-19 this was done between March and April.

C- EMPOWERMENTS

The Member distributed Motorcycles, tricycles, grinding engines to his constituents this year at kilometer 18 it was also carried out on the 11th July, 2020.

Also distributed Freezers to selected women across the Constituency 8th December, 2020.

He also gave out 6 brand new cars to some stakeholders across the Constituency between November and December 2020.

He embarked on Mega empowerments where items like freezers, generators, grinding engines, sewing machines motorcycles and tricycles were distributed to his constituents across

D – EMPLOYMENT

The global pandemic covid-19 threatening the nation has slowed down the employment process which is a general problem in the country as discussions are ongoing to facilitate the employment of our people as soon as possible.

E- HEALTH
The Member who sees health as wealth in most cases cleared the hospital bills charged for some of his constituents if he is on the know and reported by a leader of the particular ward where the person comes from.

F- AGRICULTURE

He has distributed a lot of farming tools to Farmers to aide their farming in different ways things like water pumping machines, cans etc.

The Member who facilitated the visit of the speaker 8th Assembly Hon. Yakubu Dogora and other principal Members to access the Moribound Steel plant which brought about the signing of the MOU between the Federal Government and Russia Government to revatalize the plant and he also led the current chairman House committe on steel Hon. Halims and other members to see the level of readiness of the management team of the steel plant as it the bedrock of our nation where if revatalize it will create a lot of job for our teaming youths.

*ONGOING PROJECTS*

The drilling of Solar panel boreholes ongoing in Jimgbe community and kilometer 18 will soon be completed.

The renovation of two blocks of class rooms ongoing in Ajaokuta village community and will soon be completed.

Leaders are made they are not born . They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile. Hon Lawal Muhammadu Idirisu has proven to the good people of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency that their pains are topmost .

With patient and understanding he will continue to do more.
