USMAN OKAI; A SELF ACCLAIMED PARAGON THAT NEVER ACTS LIKE ONE
In the contemporary Nigeria where Elites who should strengthen democratic principles and set pace for sanity are been beclouded with erroneous believe due to undeserving contestation, tribal affiliation or the quest for cheap political relevance.
Austine Usman Okai had chose to malign positive developments by destructively going against the Ebigo Agenda and the driving forces behind it — calling them names and questioning the validity of its existence.
Every sane individual irrespective of affiliations should applaud the past administration for the tireless effort to harmonize the state along tribal line. Hitherto, there was a pandemonium and unrest in the heterogeneity nature of our existence as a state. We were all faced with political imbalance and unjust distribution of the state resources coupled with biased implemention of social amenities.
The Ebigo mantra was made to arrest such lingering issues and also fine-tune a way to enhance all-inclusivity and give every section of the state a sense of belonging. It now become worrisome and embarrassing if a self acclaimed stateman who should by all sense of patriotism filter his public outburst decided to go contrary — giving unnecessary claim because of his inordinate ambition of segregating the state along tribal line.
It is imperative to set the record straight because of those who might get subdued by his prejudice comments. Ebigo Agenda has tremendously unified the state, and has been the driving force that had attracted the evenly distribution of Yahaya Bello’s developmental agenda along the three (3) zones of the state and the foregoing template of his predecessor, Usman Ahmed Ododo.
Though, I do not seems to get perturbed as such because Okai never sees anything good from his perceived political enemies. He’s a tribal bigot who had gone to the length of working against the interest of his party in the last gubernatorial election. One will wonder if such an individual can be accorded a state respect as an ambassador of good governance.
Usman Okai might choose to be feigned but that shouldn’t permit him to thread a path of retrogression — causing the state a generational havoc. Be guided sir! Enough of your unruly and unguided utterances.
