The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Kogi State Chapter Comrade Isreal Femi Alonge has cautioned the Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir Elrufai to desist from allowing himself to be tagged an enemy of the Nigerian Youths and the NorthCentral and Southeast Geopolitical Zones in the country owing to the unguarded utterances of the Governor in an interview yesterday on Channels Television with Seun Okinbanloye on the program “Politics Today”.

The Chairman said it is Politically and logically unfair for Mallam Nasir Elrufai to dare push for an agitation that the position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria be zoned to the Southwest Geopolitical Zone of the country not minding that this zone in particular has led this country in the capacity of the President and Vice President respectively leaving the NorthCentral and Southeast a key determining factors to have not fair taste of power in the capacity of the occupying the position of the President.

The Chairman established that as a country with rights and Privileges made available for everyone, no one however should be deprived of the right to vie for the position of the President. Hearing Mallam Elrufai say that the position of the President of this country should be zoned to the same Southwest that has democrally produced Olusegun Obasanjo as two term President and the Incumbent two term Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, is tantamount to believing that Mallam Nasir Elrufai either hates the NorthCentral and Southeast Geopolitical Zones or is being selfish by positioning himself to becoming the Vice President of whomsoever the Southwest Presents as their Presidential Candidate since it is now glaring enough that in Southwest lies his interest.

Mallam Nasir Elrufai should be wise enough not to dare the abilities of the youths that he may not encounter their wrath, Alonge advised.

Since the creation of our country Nigeria; 1960 till date, the Northcentral has not be opportune to be Celebrated as the president of this country whereas the Zone being advocated for by Mallam Nasir Elrufai for Presidency, has tested not just the position of the President but even the Vice President.

Allow the North Central and South East to decide amongst themselves who is to lead the country come 2023 and be rest assured that fairness and the spirit of we are one in the country will be greatly Celebrated.

No man should he left with the monopoly of determining who leads a country like Nigeria; a country where Youths are not just the majority of its population but also a key determinants of who holds Political power, Alonge posited.
