All is now set for the 2022 Iyara Cultural Day Festival, Kogi State Top Cultural Event that has gotten endorsement from major stakeholders in Nigeria’s Tourism sector.
Dignitaries from all walks of life, including sons and daughters of Iyara Community, both home and in the Diaspora, are expected to grace the occasion, which will also feature fund raising for community development.
The Director Media, Publicity and Strategy of the event, Mr. Emmanuel Oluwakorede revealed in a press statement that the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi are Distinguished Guest of honour and Chief Host respectively.
The statement named a Kano-based Business man, Mr. Idris Fadile as the Chairman of the occasion, while the Chief Executive Officer of Osaseyi Foundation, Mr. Richard Osaseyi is the Chief Launcher with Mrs. Yemisi Asaju-Oyebo as the Chairperson.
It further explained that the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman, Okun Area Council, HRM. Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, HRM. Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni and Alaga Ijumu Arin, HRH. Oba Michael Olorundare are Royal Fathers of the Day.
Former Director General of National Mathematical Centre, Prof. Sam Ale is the Father of the Day, while the Managing Director of Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, Mrs. Folashade Joseph is the Mother of the Day.
The epoch making event is scheduled to hold on Saturday October 29, 2022 at Iyara Town Hall, Ijumu Local Government of Kogi State at 10am.
