Yahaya Bello Youth Vanguard, Niger State Chapter has called on Kogi State governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello to contest the presidency come 2023.
In a press release jointly signed by the chairman of the vanguard in Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Sarki Paul and the secretary, Comrade Kasim Shu’aibu stated that the Yahaya Bello 2023 Youth Vanguard firmly resolved and has unshakable believe that he has all it takes to vie for the position “we have firm believe that he will definitely deliver if given the opportunity.”
The release further stated that his excellent performance as an accountant with the revenue mobilisation and fiscal commission ( RMAFC) and his success story in the private sector clearly puts him at a vantage position far above other would be contestants for the plum job.
Bello according to the Youth Vanguard has demonstrated his ability and capacity to deliver dividend of Democracy to the people of kogi state .
According to the release ” Bello is a detribalised and a mobiliser. He has brought to the state effective harmony, promoted gender equality in a multi-faceted state with different political parties being blended for the betterment of the state and the Nation at large.
“All these have galvanised into reducing friction and acrimony associated with our body polity and thus avoiding the usual wranglings. He has endeared himself in the heart of the people with his open door policy irrespective of the political affiliation.
“His stewardship as a governor has clearly shown him as an apostle of the current axiom “‘not too young to rule’ . He has created and given vibrant youths opportunities to serve in different capacities as demonstrated by the high numbers of youths in his cabinet .
The release recalled that the members of Niger state House of Assembly overwhelmingly endorsed the governor of kogi state Yahaya Bello to contest for president comes 2023.
The chairman of the group Comrade Yakubu Sarki Paul noted that on the basis of their firm conviction of his ability to wrest power from the status quo adopted him as their sole candidate when the twenty five members kogi state House of Assembly under the leadership of the speaker Rt. Hon Mathew Kolawole paid an advocacy visit to the Niger state House Assembly.
He added that the twenty four members of the House who were present during the advocacy visit have resolved to support the ambition of Governor Yahaya Bello of kogi state to contest the presidential election in 2023, urging him to contest to redeem the image of the North Central zone which has been systematically sidelined since the return of democracy in 1999.
