The Management and Staff of The Nigerian Post Newspaper has sent a message of felicitations to Comr. Onuh Edoka on his appointment as Special Adviser on Labour.
In a statement, Abu Michael, Publisher/Editor in Chief, described the appointment as one in the right direction.
It is our fervent believe that your appointment is a value addition to both the State Government and the Labour movement.
‘ For over 30 years you have been in the struggle from outside the Government as a unionist. Now that you’re in government. Ensure that you make a difference”.
We earnestly hope that you will bring in your rich wealth of experience that transcends three decades in the labour movement will better the welfare of Kogi State workers.
Let it be placed on record that through you, you made the workers sign a charter of demands during the campaign. The believe and faith the workers had in you as the Chairman, Ododo Joel Labour Support Group, made them to vote massively for the APC during the Governorship election.
It is our earnest expectations that your appointment will no doubt help reposition the welfare of the workers of the State as promised during the campaign.
Once again as Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour, an appointment that is no doubt very apt.
we urge that you bring your wealth of competence in the union, both at the State, National level and internationally to bear on your appointment.
We also use this opportunity to once again commend Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo and his Deputy for taking the bold decision to honour the Workers, with the expectations that the state work force will heave a sigh of relief under the present administration.
