.. Says he’s not in negotiation with abductors of Council Boss
The attention of Hon. Taofiq Isah, the Chairman of Ijumu LGA and Chairman of ALGON Kogi has been drawn to w malicious statement credited to the ALGON Chairman pointing to the fact that he the Chairman is in negotiation with the abductors of a Council Chairman.
In a statement signed by Abubakar Suleiman, Hon. Taofiq Isah wish to use this medium to debunk the erroneous impression circulating in the media space that he is in discussion with the abductors.
The mischievous claims as credited to the Council Chairman is not only false but unfounded therefore wished to set the record straight for the benefit of the discerning minds.
It is regrettable to state that the Council Chairman never spoke with any Media House nor a Journalists, wondered from which pit of hell a statement would be credited to him about his going into negotiation with the abductors.
While it is important to place on record that the Ijumu Council Chairman is fervently in prayers for the safe release of the abducted Council Boss, assured also that he is working with the State Government and Security agencies for the safe release of the Council Chairman.
Hon. Taofiq therefore used this medium to call on the media and Journalists to verify there fact before publishing there stories, pointing out that he is not in discussion with the abductors ad claimed.
The Ijumu Council Chairman disclosed that information available to him is that the Council Chairman is hale and hearty said all he can State is that the abductors have established contact with the family members of the abducted Council Chairman.
