Igala Youths under the umbrella of igala youth council of Nigeria have Condemned the action of the Governing Council of the Federal University Lokoja for disobeying Court Order and going ahead to appoint Prof Olayemi Durotimi Akinyemi as the new VC of the institution.
The Council which is an umbrella body of all Igala youth worldwide said the appointment of the new vc was in contravention of a subsisting court order to halt the process.
The Association in a statement signed by the National President , Hon Collins Onogwu Monday in Lokoja said that for Government or its agencies to disobeyed Court order spells doom for the nation’s democracy ,as the Court is the last hope of common man
It therefore urged the university council to respect the court order by maintaining status quo as not respecting the court could create state of anarchy .
It Called on President Muhammad Buhari and the Hon. Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu to call the FUL Governing Council to order.
