Sub-City Project Global Consult Limited Empowers TOAN With
100 Tricycles in Kogi to Boost Transport, Youth Employment
In a move to strengthen urban mobility and drive economic empowerment, Sub-City Project Global Consult Limited has partnered with the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), Kogi State Chapter, to distribute 100 tricycles to commercial operators in the state.
The Inauguration also witnessed the unveiling of the Kogi State branch of Sub-City Project Global Consult Limited Office and Workshop.
The initiative, unveiled in Lokoja, is designed to promote innovative and sustainable transport solutions while creating employment opportunities for youths across the state.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sub-City Project Global Consult Limited, Umar Toliat Imam, said the gesture was aimed at supporting hardworking operators, reducing unemployment, and improving access to affordable transportation for residents of Kogi State.
Stakeholders noted that the partnership with TOAN reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the informal transport sector, which plays a crucial role in daily commercial activities and mobility within the state.
Representatives of the Kogi State Government were also present at the ceremony, expressing support for private sector-driven interventions that complement government efforts to improve livelihoods and transportation infrastructure.
Highlights of the inauguration of the Lokoja branch of Sub-City Project Global Consult Limited was followed by a capacity-building workshop and the official handing over of 100 tricycles to the TOAN State Chairman for onward distribution to selected beneficiaries.
Stakeholders described the initiative as a timely intervention that will drive inclusive growth, reduce poverty, and advance transport innovation in Kogi State. They expressed optimism that the empowerment scheme would enhance the income of operators while providing safer and more efficient transportation for commuters.
The distribution of the tricycles is expected to benefit hundreds of youths and contribute to easing transportation challenges in urban and semi-urban areas of the state.
