PLUKE Has Attained 85% Completion – Kogi Rural Developement Commissioner, Lauds Gov. Bello’s Effort.


 

The Kogi State Rural Development Commissioner, Hon. Daniel Oneal Ejigbo, has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing efforts by Gov. Yahaya Bello to quickly complete Project light Up Kogi East.

Hon. Daniel Oneal Ejigbo made the disclosure in a chat with Thenigerianpost, says PLUKE has attained 84% completion, expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, said it is the Governor’s commitment to improving the quality of lives of the people.

The project according to the Commissioner includes the reinforcement of the electricity infrastructure in Kogi East, also includes the installation of distribution of substations in 24 towns and villages.

He added that the project entails the construction of High Tension and Low Tension Lines, commended the Governor for showing commitment to the early completion of the project, commended Gov. Bello’s love for the people in changing the narratives.

The N2b Operation Light Up Kogi East project the Commissioner disclosed encompasses the upgrading of Itobe Bridge Cable by crossing 150mm x 1 Core Cable to 300mm x Core cable from Ajaokuta across the River Niger to the region, said the laying of the cable has since passed the bridge.

The 300mm cable he added has the capacity to carry 45 MW load at maximum, says with the entire load of Kogi East currently put at 25MW, the project represent the future expansion and development of the senatorial district and state.

Another area of interest of the PLUKE project according to the Commissioner is that the existing cable that has the loading capacity of 14.5 MW, the obvious reason responsible for the load shedding in Idah and Anyigba axis he noted has been corrected by Gov. Yahaya Bello with PLUKE.

Hon. Daniel Oneal Ejigbo, commended the PLUKE Implementation Committee made up of five members namely: Hon. Deedat Salami- (Chairman), Daniel oneal Ejigbo (Secretary), Yakubu Okala, Ahmed Ododo and Engr. Mohammed, thanked them for the speedy Implementation of the Governor’s vision for Kogi East.

He expressed satisfaction that the project is a jinx breaker, has attained 84% success thus far, says over the years, the major problem of Kogi East is Power, explained that it would now be a thing of the past courtesy of Gov. Yahaya Bello.
