PDP IN OFU LGA CONSTITUTES PANEL TO INVESTIGATE SUSPENDED CHAIRMAN


 

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ofu Local Government Area has constituted a Committee to investigate allegations leveled against the suspended chairman, Engineer Gabriel Itanyi.

 

 

The Constitution of the panel followed a meeting of the sixteen executives in the Local Government as well as stakeholders held on the fifth of this month at Ugwolawo, Headquarters of the Local government Area.

According to the resolution, the suspension of Engineer Gabriel Itanyi as PDP Chairman in Ofu was apt, noting that it was in the best interest of the party in the area.

The meeting passed a vote of confidence on the Acting Chairman, Mr Audu Inda Agbonika, stressing that the party should consider the 2023 elections for the Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly as a must win.

The investigative panel has Hon Yunusa Abuka as Chairman, Hon. Ojonimi Alidu Member, Hon Isah Ameh member and Hon Daniel Abutu as member.

Others are Hon Silas Akoji member, Hon Akogwu Alih member, while Barrister Solomon Ikagwu Yahaya is to serve as Secretary.

Meanwhile, the supended Chairman, Engineer Gabriel Itanyi has been invited to meet with the committee next week.

The investigative panel has two weeks to submit its report to the Executive.
