Ohimege Igu Koton-Karfe Confers Ondaki – Ireku Chieftaincy Title, Meaning Warrior On Engr. Bashiru Gegu


 

The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, was today conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Ondaki – Ireku
by the Ohimege Igu Koton-Karfe, Alh Abdulrazaq Isah Koto.

The event attracted the who’s is who in the State, also had some other thirty six personalities honoured by the Ohimege Igu Koton-Karfe.

The Traditional Ruler described the Solid Minerals Development Commissioner as Ondaki – Ireku, meaning, a warrior, says within a short stay in office he has attracted and contributed immensely to the development of the area.

According to the Traditional Ruler, Engr. Bashiru is a worthy son of the community having distinguished himself in attracting development to the area, urged him to do more for the community.

HRM called on other sons and daughters of the area to attract growth and development to the area, but more importantly tasked them on the need for peaceful coexistence.

Speaking at the occasion, Engr Bashiru Gegu, said the honour will spur him to work for the growth of the area, expressed satisfaction with the accolades showed on him.

Engr. Gegu described Gov. Yahaya Bello as the most Kogi LGA friendly governor the State has ever had, solicited more support for the present administration.
