Chairman House Committee on Custom and member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of representatives, Elder Leke Abejide has received Julius Abel, aka Ontop, into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) fold.
Abejide at his country home in Alu on Monday, received Abel, the Mopa-Amuro house of Assembly hopeful when the latter presented to the former an Expression of Intent letter to contest for Mopa-Amuro Constituency in the coming 2023 general elections.
Abel said it is a thing of joy to join the ADC, according to him, ADC is the only party with the main interest of rejuvenating the country which is evident in the effective representation of the interest of Yagba and the Nigerian people in the Federal House of Representatives.
Abel who is generally accepted by Mop-Amuro youths and is interconnected with various grassroots in Kogi Politics, added that he is ready to join force with the existing Leke Abejide/ADC team in Yagba Federal Constituency to ensure more victory in the coming polls.
Recall that Abel recently resigned his appointment as Special Assistance on New Media to the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, subsequently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Abejide whole heartedly welcomed Abel, congratulated him for making the best political decision.
