His Royal Highness, the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV, chairman of the Lokoja Emirate Council, has conferred the title of “ARDO BIRNI OF LOKOJA” on seasoned politician and philanthropist, Alhaji Ahmed Danjuma Adams, also known as Quincy.
This announcement was made in an appointment letter signed by the Royal Father in Lokoja and shared with The ANALYST NG on Thursday.
The Monarch stated that the conferment of this title on Adams serves as recognition for his dedication to and investment in the culture and traditions of his community and the Lokoja Emirate Council.
According to the letter, this title also makes Alhaji Ahmed the first Ardo Birni of the ancient town of Lokoja.
Maigari commended the new ARDO BIRNI for his exemplary leadership qualities and his efforts to promote the interests of the community, including his unmatched support for the Lokoja traditional institution.
The notification letter further elaborated that the title was conferred on Adams due to his extensive experience, hard work, dedication, unwavering commitment to issues affecting Lokoja, and his broad exposure to various circumstances.
“Above all, your outstanding performance in fostering the growth and development of Lokoja township has prompted me to confer upon you the prestigious and revered traditional title of ‘ARDO BIRNIN LOKOJA’ in exercise of the powers vested in me as the Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman of the Lokoja Emirate Council.
With this appointment, you become a member of the Lokoja Traditional Title Holders Council, and henceforth your traditional official greeting shall be ‘ALLAH SAI NI.’
This significant development, as stated in the letter, is ‘the ultimate reward for your selfless sacrifice and devotion to a cause, marking the climax and worthy capping of a glorious career.’
I take great pride in your track record and rejoice with you as you celebrate this pinnacle of an enviable achievement.
Please accept my most sincere congratulations and best wishes,” the statement concluded.
In response to this honor, Alhaji Ahmed Adams Quincy expressed his gratitude during a telephone conversation with the Maigari of Lokoja. He emphasized that the traditional title serves as encouragement for him to continue contributing to the community and its people.
