The Kogi State Command of the Nigerian Police, says it is investigating an alledged case of abduction or kidnapping levelled against one Danjuma Shaibu, Usman Shaibu and six others over alledged abduction of a victim, Habib Hussain.
The abduction according to the Nigerianpost source took place at Emakoji Area, Biraidu District Dekina LGA of Kogi State.
The victim was alledged to have been abducted along Emakoji/Abocho road In Biraidu District Dekina LGA of Kogi State
The incident took place at Aji Ike in Emakoji Area. Thereafter the abductors took the victim to Olowa in Ogbabede District both in Dekina LGA before the police in Abocho Division were called to the rescue and arrest of the suspects.
The incident was said to have happened on Monday with the Police at Abocho Division immediately swinging into action, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
The alledged suspects are now at the Kogi State Police Command for further investigation into the abduction.
Speaking with the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Williams Ayah, confirmed the arrest of the suspects, however said investigation is ongoing to unravel the alledged case of abduction or kidnapping levelled against the suspects.
He disclosed that preliminary information however reveals that the case was a case of rivalry over economic trees, leading to the involvement of the vigilantes and the Police.
He said the true nature of the offenses and the involvement of the mentioned culprits would only be determined after the investigation.
