Kogi NULGE Chairman Congratulates Newly Inaugurated Council Chairmen … Tasks them to make payment of salaries, welfare of workers priority


 

The Kogi State Chairman, Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, Comr. Tada Adeyemi, has sent a Congratulatory message to the newly inaugurated Council Chairmen in the State.

Comr Tade in a statement described the victory of the Council Chairmen in the polls as the will of God and the people, urged them to make payment of salaries and welfare of workers at the Local Government Areas a priority.

 

The NULGE Chairman said if anything, payment of 100% as Salary, making the welfare of workers in the Local Government Areas a priority must take precedence, urged the Chairmen to ensure they provide democracy dividends to the people.

While lauding their emergence in the election and their successful inauguration, Comr. Tade urged the Council Chairmen to justify the people’s confidence reposed on them.

Comr. Tade expressed optimism that the new Chairmen have what it takes to deliver on their mandates, called on them to hit the ground running as time waits for no one.

Comr Tade equally thank Governor Yahaya Bello for the support which led to their success at the election and inauguration, described the Governor as people friendly and grassroots oriented, reason why he courageously took the bull by the horns to conduct the Council election.

He lauded Gov. Bello for returning democracy to the Local Government Areas, said posterity would remember him for meeting the yearning and aspirations of rural dwellers.
