Kogi LG Peaceful Polls: Chief Edward Onoja’s Celebratory Message to Winners

My dear Comrades in Progress,

It is with pleasure that I join the leadership hierarchy of our Party– the ruling All Progressives Congress to congratulate you on your various deserving victories at the polls for Chairmanship and Councillorship positions held yesterday.

I am mostly elated that the vision of a Government that includes a relevant percentage of women in the hearts of administration as identified by our Leader and Governor; Yahaya Adoza Bello is clearly in fruition. This means for one, that God hears our dearing needs and supplies them if we honestly present them before Him.

Under the watch of Governor Yahaya Bello, Kogi State continues to enjoy free, fair and credible elections despite attempts by enemies of the State to truncate these processes.

Indeed, your months of fervent hardwork and contributions to societal growth have been recognized by Kogites across local levels, hence the landslide victories recorded and a testament of a greater responsibility to Do More invested in you.

In that light, I urge you all not to betray the trust reposed in you by the people as I also encourage you prioritize workers welfare working in synergy with your union leaders exactly as His Excellency has prioritized State workers welfare continously. Finally work harmoniously with all in attracting development to your LGA. The core values of our leader, Governor Yahaya Bello which includes religious balance, abhorrence of class divides and ethnic tolerance should remain our operational core values that drive our ideals as a party and government at the lower levels.
