Kogi PDP Elders Come Hard On Engineer Sam Uhuotu, PDP Kogi Chairman.
PDP Elders in Kogi state has accused the state party Chairman, Engineer Sam Uhuotu of diverting huge sums of money donated by prominent party members across and outside the state, as well as monies realised from the sales of forms to Aspirants .
PDP in a statement issued by a member of the elders forum in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Dansofo wondered why the party leadership is only interested in what they could gain from the party, rather than playing the role of the main opposition party.
According to the Elders, the National Working Committee NWC of PDP will be failing in it’s responsibility, if it refuse to wade into the current ugly developement in Kogi state.
He says the anti party stance of Engineer Uhuotu is no longer news,as it is capable of affecting the chances of the party in the future, if not nipped in the bud.
‘We are not unaware that party members from Lagos,Abuja and kaduna as well as other parts of the country,donated generously to enable PDP participate in the last election,but diverted by Engineer Uhuotu led executive’
‘Aspirants for Chairmanship and councilorship office also paid for registration of their members in the 21 local government for purchase of party’s nomination forms, but the funds had suddenly developed wings.’
He says PDP will be failing in it’s efforts to reposition the party,if the business as usual leaders led by Engineer Uhuotu is still much around .
‘We have being living with anti party activities phenomenon introduced into the party by the current Uhuotu led leadership,for how long shall we continue with this unbecoming conducts in our political system,when Kogi people are yearning for a good government through PDP’ He says.
