Kogi HoS advises Workers to rededicate themselves to work, have a change of attitude in discharge of duties


 

 

The entire Public Servants in Kogi State have been advised to rededicate themselves to work and have a change of attitude in the discharge of their constitutional duties in the Public Service.

The Kogi State Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Hannah Onyinoyi Odiyo made this statement in Lokoja during her familiarization visit to some Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State. She stated that the aim is to know how the MDAs are fairing and also to solicit for their co- operation as she has been appointed to serve and would diligently give her best in ensuring that the Public Service in the State becomes one of the best in the Country.

The Head of Civil Service called on the entire workforce to abhor lateness, truancy, laziness, procrastination and other negative vices that are against the growth and development of the Public Service.

In addition, the Head of Civil Service called for a robust synergy among all the Permanent Secretaries, Head of Departments and Directors to ensure the smooth running of the Offices, adding that the hallmark of success is through the spirit of team work.

While appreciating Civil Servants for their co-operation with her predecessors, she implored them to keep it up for her to succeed in the face of enormous challenges. She assured the workers of the commitment of His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State to making a long-lasting impact on the service delivery capacity of the workforce through his reform strategies.

Meanwhile, in all the MDAs visited the workers through their Permanent Secretaries, Directors and General Managers expressed their joy over the visit and pledged their unalloyed co-operation and support to the Head of Civil Service to enable her succeed.

The Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Hannah Onyinoyi Odiyo was accompanied in her visits by Elder. Eric Dele Aina (Permanent Secretary Administration and Public Service) Elder. Ebiloma Abdul (Permanent Secretary Establishment and Training) Mrs. Grace Odoma (Permanent Secretary, REPA and Certificate verification) REV. Panaki S.S ( Director Administration and Finance) and Mr. Mesole David Olaiya ( Public Relations Officer), all from the Office of Head Of Civil Service.
