. . As Edward Onoja, Six Others Withdraw From Race.
The Former Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat and Auditor General, Local Government in Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo likely emerge as APC Flagbearer for the November governorship election.
Gov. Bello made the announcement after a stakeholders meeting at the Kogi State Government House after a stakeholders meeting.
Similarly, the Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja, has withdrawn from the Kogi State Governorship race
The Deputy Governor alongside the former Accountant General Jibrin Momoh, Asiru Idris former Commissioner For Finance Budget and Economic Planning also withdrawn from the race.
Also, Banji jimoh, Muhammad Jamiu Asuku, Friday Idachaba and Hajia Halima Alfa have also withdrawn from the race.
There withdrawal was announced by the Chief Returning Officer for the APC Governorship Primary, Gov. Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State.
Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat has served as Commissioner For Water Resources in the first term administration of Gov. Bello before his appointment in the second term as Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Alhaji Usman Ododo has served as Auditor General For Local Government since the advent of Gov. Bello’s administration.
It is expected that a further directives on who to emerge would be made tomorrow to party faithful on who will fly the party’s flag.
