
The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja, has withdrawn from the Kogi State Governorship race

The Deputy Governor alongside the former Accountant General Jibrin Momoh, Asiru Idris former Commissioner For Finance Budget and Economic Planning also withdrew from the race.
Similarly, Sen. Yakubu Useni, Banji jimoh, Muhammad Jamiu Asuku, Friday Idachaba, Yakubu Okala and Hajia Halima Alfa have also withdrawn.
There withdrawal was announced by the Chief Returning Officer for the APC Governorship Primary and Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Bello Matawalle.
The Kogi State Deputy Governor and Muhammad Jamiu Asuku have already issued statement announcing their withdrawal from the race.
Others still in the race are, Dr. Sanusi Ohiare, Alhaji Usman Ododo, Prof. Stephen Ocheni, Sen. Smart Adeyemi.
According to the Chairman, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka has been barred by the court from contesting in the Primary.
The Kogi State APC Governorship Primary is scheduled to hold tomorrow. The primary would be by direct method, with the Zamfara State Governor and Chairman Congress Committee, Alhaji Bello Matawalle saying only up-to-date financial members would be allowed to vote.
