Becoming a party candidate is only the beginning of the election process. Every successful candidate must persuade and convince the voters that they deserve their individual vote and garner the critical votes desirable to win the election.
In a tripartite state like Kogi State; no political party will fail to field in their best shot and when you watch the growing interest of the various political parties in the state, you will honestly believe me, that the All Progressive Congress needs an unquestionable charactered candidate; someone like Dr. Sanusi Ohiare to squarely unriddle its victory across board. The party needs an energetic, resourceful, youthful, and experienced candidate who can increase the strength of our unity and influence with plausible street credibility. We need a candidate with impeccable credentials and acceptability.
It’s no longer news, that in less than 30days the All Progressive Congress will be anointing its flag bearer and it starts with a vote-your vote. And so, I’m calling on you-the delegates to make a choice with Dr. Sanusi Ohiare for the real change we wish to see. We can show that: Here, our priority is job creation, the environment, safety and peace of the state. Here, we dare to use words like “change” “hope” and “progress”. Here, we will look beyond consolidation to defile the states’ vast virgin ideas, unearth the natural resources and lay fresh foundations for foreign cooperation. Here, we dare to look beyond old politics and have the audacity to ask for something better from the world desks. Here, we will look cynicism directly in the eye, and have faith that the best has come having Dr. Sanusi Ohiare in the saddle.
Your Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, the State Party Chairman, Abdullahi Bello (Dollar), other APC faithful and the delegates, Please, give us Dr. Sanusi Ohiare as the party flag bearer and I assured you a Godspeed victory by November and all inclusive governance. He is capable and equal to the task.
Fellow Kogites, there is nothing wrong in Kogi State that can’t be fixed with what is right in Kogi State. Dr. Sanusi Ohiare is ready to govern Kogi State putting together his ripe and prolific experience. He knows that a Governor’s job is to bring people together and make sure the government works for the good people of the state. He understands that the governor’s job is to build bridges between urban and rural areas and bring closer the different point of views which exist between the geopolitical zones of the state. He understands that a governor’s job is to represents the values you-the citizen cherish like: Tolerance, compassion, pride in our differences, respect for democracy, cooperation, and humanity. These values are shared by all Kogites.
No matter which political party you supports, a governor will strive to put the old debates and narratives aside and work together with the people to achieve the real change the people desired. Dr. Sanusi Ohiare is determined to run a wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free with enabling environment to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned.
The good people of Kogi State, the time has come for us to make a solemn but passionate decision about our life. Another window of opportunity is here for you to either enslave or liberate yourself and the generation to come and only your choice with Dr. Sanusi Ohiare will be unmistakable. He is running the circle to take on our common challenges and it can’t be done without you-the delegates. Let’s work together. Let’s roll up our sleeves and start the work right now. Let’s rally Dr. Sanusi Ohiare for the breathe of new life in Kogi State.
