Hon Oluwakayode Emmanuel Eseyin, has commended His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Governor of Kogi State, for reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the development of Kabba and the wider Owe community.
The statement follows the recent engagement between the Governor and the Kabba Community Council of Chiefs, representing the 14 families of Owe Kabba Kingdom, which also reaffirmed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Eseyin, particularly welcomes the Governor’s recognition of the confidence placed in his administration by the traditional institution, as well as his acknowledgement of the Obaro of Kabba and other royal fathers who demonstrated their support at a critical period.
The Governor’s assurance that this confidence will not be taken for granted is significant. It reinforces the principle that political trust must be sustained through responsive governance, effective representation and tangible development.
For Kabba and Owe, the message is clear: the partnership must continue to translate into meaningful attention to the community’s priorities, particularly infrastructure, economic opportunity and social development.
Eseyin believes the meeting has further strengthened the foundation for a mutually respectful political relationship between Kabba/Owe and the present administration. The confidence demonstrated by the people carries with it an expectation of continued engagement, inclusion and delivery. As partners in the political process, Kabba and Owe will continue to engage constructively with government, while ensuring that the interests and aspirations of the people remain firmly on the table.
