Kogi Female Lawmaker Elect, Hon Omotayo Ishaya Adeleye Commends Electoral process


 

appreciates support of Gov. Yahaya Bello, opportunity given to women in Kogi.

 


The first female Assembly Member elect in Ijumu LGA, repenting Ijumu Constituency Kogi State, Hon Omotayo Ishaya Adeleye has commended the electoral processes that took place across Kogi West and Kogi state at large.

The first female Lawmaker elected from Ijumu stated that in the just concluded election, people were allowed to vote their conscience in the state.

While pointing out that the enabling environment created didn’t allow for voter apathy, with no casualty recorded, said the election was indeed a free and fair election.

She further appreciated the good people of Ijumu land for the previlage given to her to represent the Counstituency at the state level, she restated her commitment to the development of the State and the growth of Ijumu going forward.

The Member Elect also extended her appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for having a special space in his heart for Women across board.

She further offered her wholehearted prayers and promise to continue to offer her own qouta towards building a better Kogi State.

She specially appreciated the Kogi State ALGON Chairman, Alhaji Taofiq Isah for his numerous role and guidance towards ensuring free and fair election in Ijumu, eulogised the executive chairman for always being a supporter of women.

The member Elect commended the zeal that of Hon. Taofiq who seeks to always support every girl child.

” He is indeed a true leader and supporter of women without descrimination”, she said.

She also extended her appreciation to the Women’s wings across the state, from the First lady of the State, Hajia Rashida Bello, Secretary to the State Government, Dr Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade, APC Leadership from state to Ward, Ijumu Vice Chairman, Ijumu elites and stakeholders, all the Commissioners, amongst others who supported her for their unrelenting efforts towards the women’s wing and for their contribution.

She concluded by encouraging more Women to join politics so as to participate in political activities without any fear.
