Kogi Education Commissioner Describes Lady writer, Poet, Miss Muyibat Arosuahi Yusuf As A Gem, says Ododo will surpass Bello’s achievements in education

 

The Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones has assured that the present administration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo will surpass the achievements made in education by the last administration.

 

The Commissioner gave the assurances when he received in audience a Lady writer and a poet Miss. Muyibat Arosuahi Yusuf, an indigene of Okehi Local Government of Kogi State.

Miss Muyibat Arosuahi Yusuf, was accompanied on the visit by State Majority Leader, Kogi State House of Assembly , Hon. Suleiman Abdulrazak and Hon. Jibril Abu, member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency.

While the Commissioner praised former Gov Bello for surpassing the budgetary allocation for education from 26% to 30%, assured that Gov. Ododo has been groomed to take the education sector to the next level of the State.

Hon. Jones noted that presently the administration has made it a law to pay for all internal and external examination fees for students in public schools in the State, said the establishment of two State University by the previous administration underscored the value placed on education by the State Government.

Gov. Ododo the Commissioner disclosed is passionately committed to building education as a tool for sustainable development, assured Miss Muyibat of all the necessary support for her fouth coming book launch slated for 25th April in Abuja.

He assured the author that after due diligence by the quality assurance department of the Ministry, her books will be recommended for use in schools and colleges of the State.

The Commissioner expressed satisfaction that the value the State Government places on education is making indigenes of the State to excel in their field of academic, urged Miss Muyibat to continue to make the State proud, described her accomplishments as commendable.

Miss Muyibat Arosuahi Yusuf, praised the State Government for making education a priority.

She described her recent book, A Dream Like Mine, as an encouragement for the girl child, praised the State Government for making education free and for the payment of all internal and external examination fees.
