Group Honours Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku’s Birthday, Donates to Orphanages and widows.

The Senior Special Assistant who also doubles as the Chairman of Chief Asuku’s Birthday Committee for the Year 2021, Engr. Ogbeni David Oni Sunday under the umbrella of GYB E-Media, alongside with the Teamlead, Mr. Lawal Ozomata James, and the entire members have donated food items, cash to Orphanages and widows across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State to mark the birthday of the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Chief Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu and also to pray for the safe release of Mrs Raji Seriya, Chief’s Asuku’s mother.

The outreach which happened a day after the Chief of Staff’s birthday achieved its goal of putting smile on the faces of widows and orphans when they were presented with various food stuffs, cash and other gift items at Darul Arqam Orphanage Home Okene in Kogi Central, Victory Orphanage Home, Anyigba in Kogi East and Stagi Cornerstone Orphanage Home Lokoja in Kogi West.

The Committee Chairman, Engr Ogbeni while expressing his satisfaction for the holistic outreach across kogi state commended the members for being true mentee of Chief Asuku by replicating his usual benevolence to widows, orphans and the less privileged in the society.

“Because God uniquely cares for the orphans and widows, it is incumbent on us to do the same just as the Bible tells us to love one another as He loves us, (John 13:34-35)”. He added.

The Teamlead of the GYB E-media, Mr. Lawal Ozomata James who supervised the destribution of the food items in Kogi West and Kogi Central said, the essence of the outreach was to share in the birthday celebration of their boss with the orphans and widows. He further buttressed that Pharmacist Asuku is a great leader whose passion has always been to put smile on people’s faces.

James also said that Pharmacist Asuku has contributed to the upliftment of many young people in the state through the support of Governor Yahaya Bello, adding that the chief of staff has inculcated the culture of empathy in them, which is why they have decided to honor him by reaching out to the less privileged in his name, a gesture that he said was dear to the celebrant.

The teamlead who regretted the unfortunate abduction of the mother of the Chief of Staff, used the opportunity to solicit for prayers for her quick release and as well unhurt.

Owosagba Clara Folashade, who received the items for Stagi Cornerstone Orphanage Lokoja, thanked the group for remembering the orphans while she noted that some individuals celebrated their birthday lavishing money without remembering the motherless or orphans and the less-privileged. She prayed for longer life in good health for the Chief of Staff and prayed for the release of her abducted mother.

Victory Orphanage Home Anyigba in Kogi East in similar manner received their items with offers of prayers.

Ustaz Bello who is the focal person for Darul Arqam Orphanage Home in Kogi Central also recieved their items in company of the orphans with offer of serious , prayers for the Chief Asuku and his mother.

Next to this, cashes were given to a good numbers of widows which they also offered prayers in return in their joyous moods. One of the widows speaking for others said, they are mothers and they can juxtapose the feelings of mothers to child in a case like this, they therefore pray for the quick release of Mrs. Seriya Raji.

Among the Committee who lead the team for the outreach are the SSA on legal matter, Barr Shadrach, SSA on Youths Empowerment Central, East and West, Hon. Juwairra Babamba, Hon Mathew Ochada, and Hon. Ibikunle Amodu, the two Special Assistants to the Governor on Grassroots Sensitization, Hon. Prince Suleiman Adinoyi, Hon. Bilqees Ibrahim, the technical assistant to the Youth Chairman, Hon. Iliyasu Zakari, Hon. Eniola Calculus, Engr. Felix Ozi Ajayi, Mrs. Dangana Raliat and Mrs. Katherine, Mrs Folasade Jethro.
