The Nigerianpost correspondent reports that as at 11:57am all the polling units have received materials, with voters and electoral officers observing the Covid19 protocols as directed by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Speaking with the INEC Officer In-Charge of Enlightenment and Voter Education, Biambo Bagudu, he said the process has been peaceful, appreciated the cooperation of the electorates.
He commended the turnout of voters expressed optimism that the process would be peaceful.
But in a quick reaction, the Candidate, Hon. Arome Clement Omaonu, Candidate for African Democratic Congress disagreed with the process said electoral materials arrived his Ward in Echewo, Ejila Ward around 11:00am, expressed dissatisfaction with the presence of security agents who cannot be identified.
Similarly, the Kogi State SDP Chairman, Alh. Mouktah Atimah has described the election as a sham, said report from the party‘s agents said card readers were not used in the Election, making it a free for all, said the party would not accept the outcome of the election.
