Hon. Shaba Ibrahim Congratulates FUL VC, Condemn Calls Along Ethnic Sentiments.


The Member Representing Lokoja Kogi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Barr. Shaba Ibrahim has sent a message of Congratulation to Professor Olayemi Akinwumi on his Appointments, as Vice Chancellor of Federal University

Similarly, Barr. Shaba has also condemn in strong terms all those heating up the system through ethnic sentiments, described FUL as a Federal Government Institution said service in the institution is the right of every Nigerian.

Barr. Shaba described the emergence of Professor Olayemi Akinwumi as well deserved, said his appointment as the Vice Chancellors of Federal University Lokoja by the Governing Council of the university is coming at a better time.


The Member said the cheering news of his appointments is a welcome development, considering his monumental contributions to the various Institutions he has served as committed and outstanding educationists and researchers over the years.

He commended Governing Council for considering Professor Akinwumi who is an outstanding scholar that is eminently qualify for the position.

He described him as excellent and pragmatic personality that have consistently distinguished himself right from his school days in the secondary and university up to their PhD level.

He commended his professionalism as outstanding researchers and scholars, urging him to see his appointment as an opportunity to do more in the service of his fatherland.

He said Professor Akinwumi Olayemi one of the shining lights of not only Okun nation but the entire state that have made Kogi State proud as international researchers and scholars who progressed through the ranks to the position he found himself now, praying that God shall continue to guide him.

Barr Shaba prayed that God in His infinite mercy will grant him wisdom, knowledge,  understanding and good health to pilot the affairs of his new responsibility.
