Group Accuses APC Deputy Natl. Publicity Secretary of Plans to Substitute Hon. Emmanuel Adukwu Bob, Ankpa Assembly Candidate


 

… Begs Gov Bello, APC National to intervene.

A Group, All Progressives Congress Concerned Youths in Ankpa LGA of Kogi State have raised an alarm through a petition addressed to the National Secretariat of the Party, copied Gov. Yahaya Bello about the desperate attempt to alledgly replace Emmanuel Adukwu, the APC House of Assembly Candidate for Ankpa.

 

The Group in a petition signed by Haruna Omale Godspower, is accusing Muritala Ajaka, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC of attempt to change the name of the Ankpa State Constituency Flagbearer.

According to the group, the National officer from the State has been mounting pressure on the Party to replace Emmanuel Aduku with the aspirant who scored 3 votes at the party’s primaries held at Ankpa.

The group claimed in the petition that the National officer is alledging that Emmanuel Adukwu has accepted to step down without providing evidence, disclosed that he has been using the name of Gov Yahaya Bello to push his sinister plot.

The group called on Gov. Bello who they believe is not aware of the illicit move to wade in, accused the National officer of working with some persons under the guise of religion sentiments.

While pointing out that the Deputy Publicity Secretary is not from Ankpa, hails from Ajaka in Igala Mela Odolu LGA, wondered why he is showing so much interest in the politics of Ankpa LGA, advised him to go and put his own political house in order.

They urge him to allow the innocent Emmanuel Adukwu Bob whom God has used Gov. Bello and the people to elevate alone to actualize his God given mandate.

The group noted that Emmanuel Adukwu Bob was publicly endorsed by the governor at a meeting in Abuja, expressed surprised that the Deputy Publicity Secretary of the APC want to revert the Governor’s action after much accolade nationwide for been the first Governor to have achieved such feat for the disabled community.

The group urged the Deputy Publicity Secretary to be conversant with INEC electoral act that is very clear on the substitution of candidates, warned against subversion of the decision of Gov. Bello and the free mandate freely given to Emmanuel Adukwu who emerged victorious at the party’s Primary’s.

It would be recalled that even Hon.Tolu Bankole, National Leader, People With Disabilities and Member National Working Committee, NWC, APC has on an earlier occasion also appealed to Gov Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to assist in ensuring that Mr Emmanuel Adukwu Bob, the APC Candidate for Ankpa State Constituency is elected to the State Assembly.

Hon. Tolu spoke against the fear that there were plots to replace Mr Emmanuel Adukwu Bob, thanked Gov. Bello for giving him free nomination form.

While pointing out that the love of Gov. Bello for people with disabilities has remain unprecedented, lauded him for his support in establishing an agency for PWD.

Hon. Tolu begged Gov. Bello to caution those bent on frustrating his dreams for PWD to have a representative at the State Assembly, said the accolades and commendation the Governor has enjoyed should not be allowed to be in vain.

Hon. Tolu commended Governor Yahaya Bello for all the good works he is doing for PWD, assured that if Mr Emmanuel Adukwu Bob, the APC Candidate for Ankpa State Constituency wins, he would have written his name in the history books permanently when issues of PWD are discussed.

The group cautioned against any attempt to change the name of Emmanuel Adukwu Bob, pointing out that it would be counter productive.

 

All efforts to reach the Deputy National Publicity Secretary for his reaction was difficult as he could not be reached on his telephone number.  But a close source said the decision to replace Emmanuel Adukwu was a Ankpa stakeholders decision, pointing out that the same Deputy National Publicity Secretary assisted him with N5m to support his aspiration.

 

He urged Emmanuel Adukwu to look deep into the political difference in Ankpa and not accuse the finger that helped him.
