Ganaja Flyover Bridge: Gov. Bello Has Turned Kogi to a huge Construction Site – Engr Abubakar Ohere


 

The Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere says Kogi has been turned into a construction site courtesy of Gov. Yahaya Bello, assuring that the Ganaja flyover bridge would be delivered as planned.

 

Engr. Ohere disclosed that the bulk of the state’s resources is been chanalled into infrastructure development inspite paucity of funds, said Gov. Yahaya Bello has turned the State into a big construction site for the benefit of the people.

 

The Commissioner once again reiterated the commitment of Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration to deliver the Ganaja flyover by December this year, said having achieved the level of work thus far, it is possible to deliver the Ganaja flyover bridge by the planned date.

The Commissioner gave the commitment to completing the bridge while inspecting ongoing works across the state and while making a stop over at the Ganaja flyover bridge today, expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work.

 

The Commissioner disclosed that so far fifty three piles have been dugged, said the construction company is taking its time to ensure that the solid foundation that would stand the test of time is laid for the bridge.

He disclosed that from next week the work would move to the next stage of capping, casing, mounting of hangers, bitumen, expressed satisfaction that the drain work and platforms for the street lighting is also ongoing.

He commended motorists for there patience and understanding with the construction company and the government, assuring that when completed the job would be for the betterment of the people.

The Commissioner urged the Federal Government to order the Contractors handling Ganaja Junction to Ganaja Village to return back to site regret that they have for sometime abandoned site.
