Election Victory: Engr Bashir Holds Reception in Honour of Alhaji Ododo, Gifts Vigilantees with motorcycle
The Director of Operation for Kogi APC November Governorship Campaign Council who double as Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu has extended his immeasurable humanitarian gesture of deep appreciation to the good people of Kogi Local Government Area for coming out in their numbers to vote for the candidacy of His Excellency, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman in the just concluded state gubernatorial election.
He disclosed his immeasurable gratitude to the people of the Local Government during the victory reception held on 22nd November, 2023 at Gegu Beki in honor of Alhaji Ododo’s November 11th gubernatorial victory.
Hon Bashir Gegu while appreciating the efforts of all and sundry for not toeing the path of parochial ethnic sentiments, noted with emphasis that the victory of Alhaji Ododo is a reciprocation of the magnanimous dividend of democracy enjoyed by his Benefactor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello adding that, more dividend of democracy will be enjoyed when Alhaji Ododo assumes office in January 27th, 2024.
He thanked the people of the Local Government for standing firmly for the Continuity and Consolidation mantra of His Excellency, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman Ododo.
In his words, “I thank all of you, the party stalwarts, party stakeholders, faithful and our esteem supporters drawn from across the 11 wards of our dear Kogi Local Government for not betraying the trust reposed on us and for ensuring the peaceful conduct of the election across the various polling units and I am assuring you that Kogi State will be ushered into more sustainable development”.
Hon Bashir Gegu also congratulated His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, for engineering the new Kogi being enjoyed by the good people of Kogi State. And categorically put that his developmental strides and gestures shall stand the test of time, and posterity be kind to him for placing Kogi State on the right track towards greatness.
In the same vain, Hon Bashir Gegu empowered Vigilantees in the area with motorcycle to help ease their movement adding that the primary responsibility a working administration should discharge is to protect lives and properties noting that, security of lives and property remain a cardinal point of the New Direction led administration in the state.
Highlights of the celebration were musical performances by artists and passage of vote of confidence on Hon. Bashir Gegu for his selfless and exemplary leadership style.
