Eid El Kabir : Demonstrate love, sacrifice – Founder/CEO Africa Youth Growth Foundation, Dr Arome Salifu tells leaders
As Muslims mark the 2024 Eid El Kabir, known as festival of sacrifice,
the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Africa Youth Foundation, AYGF, a leading Non Governmental Organization in Africa, Dr Arome Salifu has described the Eid El Kabir festival as period for sober reflection.
In a Sallah message while speaking with newsmen, Doctor Arome said the festival symbolizes obedience, sacrifice and love, calling on the people, particularly Muslims to imbibe the lessons for a better society.
He called on leaders at all levels to be exemplary by demonstrating care for the masses, stressing that the present economic challenges call for concern.
Doctor Arome also urged muslims to use the period to pray for leaders and the general growth of Nigeria which is adjudged as the giant of Africa.
“Let me at this point appeal to our leaders across board to further show that they care for the masses, this they can do by being exemplary, both in words and action. The poverty level is on a very high side, they must show concern if Nigeria should truly be seen as one”, he stated.
The CEO congratulated muslims, Staff of AYGF and the people on the successful celebration, adding that the organization will continue to play its leading role at advancing the society through several interventions and initiatives.
