MUKADAM ASIWAJU ASIRU IDRIS, FCA UNVEILS FREE TRANSPORT INITIATIVE TO BOOST GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION IN KOGI WEST
The provision of a dedicated Free Transport Scheme bus by Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Kogi State, and Kogi West Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, is another visible expression of his grassroots engagement and political mobilisation efforts across Kogi West.
The bus, boldly branded under the City Boy Movement – Kogi West, is designed to provide free transportation for citizens and participants during relevant movements, programmes and engagements.
While the initiative is politically aligned with the mobilisation efforts for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, as well as support for other APC candidates, access to the transport service is open to all citizens. Beneficiaries are not discriminated against on the basis of class, tribe, political affiliation or social status.
The initiative therefore combines inclusive public service with grassroots political mobilisation, providing the platform for citizens to participate more easily in programmes, movements and engagements connected to the APC’s continuity agenda.
Beyond transportation, the scheme is expected to strengthen grassroots connectivity, improve mobilisation and deepen interaction with communities across Kogi West, while complementing the broader activities of the City Boy Movement and the Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Support Group.
From the Free Transport Scheme to youth empowerment, digital skills training and other grassroots initiatives, Asiwaju Asiru Idris continues to place direct community engagement and participation at the centre of his activities.
The message is simple: no citizen should be left behind because of transportation. The bus is free for all, while the mission is clear—to mobilise, connect and build stronger grassroots support for Tinubu, Ododo and the APC.
