Eid- el- fitr: KOGI FORMER DEPUTY GOVERNOR CONGRATULATES MUSLIMS


 

Kogi State former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba has congratulated all Muslim faithfuls as they joined the rest of the world in the celebration of this year’s Eid-,el-fitr

The former Deputy Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester urged Muslim faithfuls to use the period of Eid-el-fitr to pray for a better Nigeria, where peace, unity of purpose and total freedom reign.

 

He enjoined Muslims to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and the virtues of the season as they celebrate the all important day in their lives.

The former Deputy Governor who said the essence of the holy period is to strengthen all Muslim faithfuls and give them hope of a better future anchored on the supreme and divine powers of the almighty God, charged them to show love to their neighbours as exemplified in the live of the holy prophet.

He further urged all Muslims to imbibe the spirit of the season and join hands with the leadership of the country and all Nigerians to build the nation where there will be equality, justice, Peace and fair play.

To Kogites, the former Deputy Governor congratulated them and enjoined them to see the season as a period of togetherness, love, hope of freedom and a fulfilled future for the state.

According to the former Deputy Governor, all celebrants must allow the expression of the ideals enshrined in the holy book to drive their personal lives and also propel them for search of a better kogi state.

He urged kogites not to allow themselves to be deceived by the enemies of the state, but vote their conscience in the forthcoming election to usher in, leaders who have the love of the people and the land at heart.
