Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has commended the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Yakubu Oseni for his commitment to providing infrastructure and other intervention programs to his constituents.
He spoke through his Deputy, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja, on Thursday, during the Commissioning of Constituency Projects across Kogi Central Senatorial District carried out by Senator Yakubu Oseni, attended by Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan.
The Commissioning of the ultra-modern GYB CBT Center in Agasa, Okene LGA, construction of classroom blocks, youths and women empowerment facilities, among others, was also attended by Sen. Smart Adeyemi (Kogi West), Sen. Jibril Echocho (Kogi East), and other Lawmakers from the 9th Assembly.
Governor Bello remarked that his administration’s fruitful collaboration with lawmakers across the 3 Senatorial Districts has encouraged oversight legislation, accountability, and effective representation across boards.
He lauded Senator Oseni for his giant strides in the education sector, saying the APC under his watch in Kogi remains the Party to beat. He observed the outcry by Nigerians for a leader with a verified security portfolio, and requisite boldness, courage, and capacity to unite the country.
On his part, the Senate President who described Governor Yahaya Bello as the shield of the APC in Nigeria having ensured of its deep-rooted structure in Kogi State applauded Senator Oseni on the projects. He noted that they are visible dividends of democracy for the people to benefit.
Earlier, Chief Onoja, on behalf of Governor Bello, led a delegation in receiving the Senate President at the runway premises of the Dangote Cement Factory in Obajana.
