Engr. Yahaya M.D. Farouk, Chairman, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Lokoja Branch and the Director General, Daisy Ododo Campaign Organization (DOCO) has sent a message of Congratulations to Rt. Hon. Aliu Umar Yusuf aka Assignment on his emergence as the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly.
Engr. Yahaya in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja described the new Speaker as a well grounded administrator with the capacity to lead the 8th Kogi State House of Assembly.
Engr. Farouk expressed optimism that he has implicit confidence in the new Speaker’s ability to pilot the affairs of the House that will ensure that the State experience good governance and the much talked about dividends of democracy.
Engr. Farouk congratulated Rt. Hon. Aliu Umar Yusuf urged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the managing of the affairs of the Assembly as well as in ensuring a cordial working relationship exists between the other arms of government.
Engr. Farouk called on the people of Lokoja LGA to rally round the new Speaker by giving him the moral and needed support that would enable him deliver on his task, assuring that under the Speaker’s leadership, a new dawn of development would be witnessed.
According to Engr. Farouk, ” Rt. Hon. Umar is an intelligent and hardworking personality. I’m confidence that he will make the people proud in the discharge of his duties. He needs all our prayers and support. I’m absolutely confident that he will not betray the confidence reposed in him by his constituents and colleagues”.
Engr Farouk congratulated the new Speaker, prayed that Almighty Allah will grant him the wisdom, knowledge, understanding and good health as he pilots the affairs of the Assembly, maintaining that the state looks unto the 8th Assembly under the leadership of Hon. Umar to legislate on issues that will promote good governance and all round development of the State.
