Nevertheless, the stakeholders have resolved not to embark on unending political stress when the major objectives of all the parties revolve around the peaceful development of the constituency and the state as a whole.
We are adequately informed that some candidates under the umbrella of our great Party have expressed their fundamental rights *”to vote and be voted for”* by wanting to proceed with all necessary processes involved in the election as to exercise their fundamental rights which are rightly spelt and stipulated in our Party‘s constitution.
We hereby state categorically that they do not have the go-ahead of the stakeholders in this regard, the stakeholders resolved to unanimously agree with this development after a meeting with some executives of the party without any dissenting voice on the nonparticipation of the party in the Local Government Election.
The State Leader of the Party, Hon. Elder Leke Abejide, Member House of Representatives, took his time to personally brief the Candidates on his non-interest in the election and requested they join him in looking for an avenue to empower his Constituents through budgetary implementation and personal sacrifices. But if they choose to go ahead then it’s personal to them.
I’m consequently directed on behalf of the stakeholders and the highest decision-making body of the party to inform our teeming supporters, followers and well-wishers to cast their votes by our directives via the usual channel.
Let it be known that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a party prevails to be the credible alternative for the masses, as we remain a party without merging with another irrespective of the pressure on it.
