Fed. High Court Orders Stoppage of Process of Appointing FUL VC.


 

The federal High Court in Lokoja has ordered the stoppage of the process of appointing a new Vice Chancellor for the Federal University, Lokoja.

The order followed an experte motion filled by Chief Julius Elukpo, a Notery Public.

In the motion, Chief Elukpo called for judicial review pursuant to Order thirty four rule one (one) A three sub section one -two of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) rules twenty nineteen.

The legal luminary maintained that the criteria used to screen out some applicants f be made available.

Chief Elukpo called for a level playing ground for all applicants from the three senatorial districts .

The Court subsequently ordered that the exercise be put on hold pending the determination of the case.

Recall that Chief Julius Elukpo had earlier demanded the list of all Vice Chancellors in the Country from the Federal Ministry of Education in line with the Freedom of Information Act twenty eleven.
