Council Election: Kogi Police Command Warn Thugs, Trouble Makers


 

In view of tomorrow Saturday 12/12/2020 Local Government Election in KOGI State, the Commissioner of Police Ede Ayuba Ekpeji psc (+) assures the good people of the State of the adequate security deployment of Officers and Men of the Command in collaboration with other security agencies to ensure adequate security of lives and properties during and after the election.

The Commissioner of Police further stated that the Command priority is to ensure violence free election. In order to achieve this, members of the public are urged to fully cooperate with the security agencies to guard against criminal elements hijacking/disrupting the process of election.

The Commissioner hereby warn would be trouble makers especially those that will masquerade as Political thugs to stay way from the polling booths and collation centers.

Parents are equally advised to warn their wards to desist from any act capable of undermining the credibility of the electoral process as the full wrath of the law will be applied on anybody caught breeching the law regulating the conduct of the election.

Finally, the Commissioner of Police wish the people of KOGI State a peaceful and violence free election.
