KOSIEC TRAINS ELECTORAL OFFICERS FOR DEC. 12 COUNCIL ELECTIONS.

As part of preparations for December 12 council elections in the state, Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has concluded training of Electoral Officers and their Assistants on purposeful handling of electoral materials and collation of results.

While declaring the session open at Lokoja, the Chairman of KOSIEC, Hon. Mamman Nda Eri charged the officers on an excellent outing on the day of the election.

The Chairman noted that the success of the election would largely depend on the good performance of Electoral Officers and urged them to get all necessary information needed during the training.

He announced that the training would be certificated to enrich the resume of the participants; while encouraging them to make the best of the period at equipping themselves for the task ahead.

Hon. Eri also revealed that the Commission would reward the best performing Electoral Officer on the field.

A minute silence was observed for the late Kabba/Bunnu Electoral Officer, Adeyemi Abel Ibisagba whose untimely demise occurred two weeks earlier.

The Electoral Officers and their Assistants to be trained by Consult System Limited, would in turn train the ad hoc staff to be engaged for the Chairmanship and Councillorship elections on December 12.
