The Auditor General of Kogi State, Alhaji Yakubu Okala, has reiterated the State Government’s resolve to ensuring transparency and good governance, accountability in the management of the State resources.
Alhaji Okala restated the State Government’s resolve to transparency when he received in audience the Newly reconstituted Technical Committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Kogi State House of Assembly.
The PAC Committee was led by its Chairman Mallam Zubairu Anape, today paid a familiarisation visit to the Auditor General of Kogi State, where issues promoting good governance in the State was seriously discussed.
Alhaji Okala Commended the enabling environment created by Gov. Yahaya Bello that has ensured value for money in Project execution, assured that his office is committed to ensuring transparency.
The Auditor General promised a harmonious cordial working relationship with the Public Accounts Committee of the Assembly, said the doors of the office of the Auditor General of the State is wide open to the PAC to provide the needed support and information towards ensuring transparency and good governance.
The Auditor-General appreciated the Committee for the Coutesy call said it would open up new frontiers of harmonious working relationship on managing the State resources.
In a remarks, the Chairman of the Assembly PAC, Mallam Zubairu Anape, said the familiarization visit seeks to explore ways to ensure transparency and good governance in the management of the State’s resources.
The PAC Chairman assured that the committee is committed to working together with the office of the Auditor General in the interest of the good people of the State towards fostering good governance, transparency and accountability in the management of the State resources.
