COVID 19 VACCINE ARRIVES LOKOJA, KOGI STATE: No Compulsion, Is Optional, Bello Tells Kogites.

The position of the Kogi State Government on the administration of COVID 19 vaccines immunization in the state stands still, NO COMPULSION, BUT OPTIONAL.

Addressing a section of the state at an official function in lokoja sometimes last week, the state governor reiterated that he has not asked the people not to take the immunization but anyone taking it should open his eyes.

The State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Saka Haruna reaffirm this position of the state government on Monday, in lokoja.

Reacting to the position of the state govt, the Executive Chairman of lokoja local govt. Hon Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed stated that so long the govt position remain as it is, the lokoja local government area must not be an exception.

The immunisation exercise is to commence this week after 2 weeks of its commencement nation wide. The vaccines were delayed in arriving in the state due to works being carried out on storages facilities destroyed last October by the End SARS protesters.

With this development, kogi state governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello has assured the people of the state that as long as his Government is prepared to protect the citizens, his govt cannot allow the people of kogi state be made the guinea pigs of the multinational corporations.
